Rules & Code of Conduct

Welcome to ECS Network™.
ECS Network™ is committed to maintaining a professional, fair, and inclusive competitive environment for players, teams, organizations, creators, partners, and staff. These Rules & Code of Conduct define the standards expected of every participant across all ECS competitions, platforms, communities, and services.
By accessing ECS Network™, participating in our competitions, or using any ECS platform or service, you agree to comply with these rules at all times.
1. Scope & Applicability
These Rules & Code of Conduct apply to all individuals participating in or interacting with ECS Network™, including but not limited to:
- Players
- Team owners
- Managers and assistant managers
- Team captains
- Organizations
- Content creators
- Community members
- Staff
- Partners and sponsors
- Contractors
They apply across all official ECS platforms and activities, including Discord, the ECS Network™ website, tournaments, leagues, Elite Scrims, broadcasts, social media, and future ECS-operated services.
2. Professional Conduct
All members are expected to conduct themselves professionally and treat others with respect. The following behaviour is prohibited:
- Harassment or bullying
- Hate speech or discrimination
- Personal attacks or threats
- Excessive toxicity
- NSFW or explicit content
- Spam or disruptive behaviour
- Impersonating another individual or organization
- Sharing false or misleading information
- Any malicious attempt to damage the reputation of another participant or of ECS Network™
Respect for opponents, staff, and fellow community members is expected at all times.
3. Competitive Integrity
Competitive integrity is the foundation of every ECS competition. The following actions are strictly prohibited:
- Cheating, hacking, or use of unauthorized third-party software
- Exploiting game bugs or glitches
- Account sharing or playing on another person's account
- Fielding unregistered players
- Match fixing, teaming, or collusion
- Stream sniping or ghosting
- Sharing private lobby information
- Manipulating competition results
Any confirmed violation may result in immediate disciplinary action, up to and including disqualification, suspension, or permanent removal from ECS competitions.
4. Team & Roster Regulations
Team owners and managers are responsible for the accuracy of all roster information submitted to ECS Network™. Teams must:
- Register eligible players only
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date roster information
- Meet all registration deadlines
- Observe roster lock requirements
- Obtain approval before making roster changes where required
Providing false information or attempting to deceive ECS Network™ during registration may result in disqualification or additional sanctions.
5. Match & Event Rules
All participants must follow the official rules published for each event, including:
- Check-in procedures
- Match schedules and lobby assignments
- Room code confidentiality
- Match reporting procedures
- Evidence submission requirements
Failure to comply may result in penalties, forfeits, or removal from the event.
6. Communication & Media
Professional communication is expected across all ECS platforms. Members must not:
- Publicly harass other participants
- Publish false accusations
- Leak confidential information
- Share internal administrative discussions without authorization
Official disputes, reports, and appeals must be submitted through ECS Support.
7. Staff Authority
ECS staff are responsible for maintaining fair competition and enforcing these rules. Participants must cooperate with reasonable instructions from verified ECS officials during competitions and community activities.
Abuse directed toward ECS staff, or any attempt to interfere with official operations, may result in disciplinary action.
8. Disciplinary Action
Depending on the severity of the offence, violations of these Rules & Code of Conduct may result in one or more of the following:
- Official warning
- Match penalty or point deduction
- Match forfeit
- Event disqualification
- Temporary suspension
- Permanent ban
- Removal of rankings or competitive records where appropriate
ECS Network™ determines the appropriate disciplinary action based on the available evidence.
9. Appeals
Participants may appeal disciplinary decisions through the official ECS Support system. Appeals must:
- Be submitted within the specified timeframe
- Include all relevant evidence
- Be respectful and truthful
Submitting false information or abusing the appeals process may result in further disciplinary action. Following review, ECS Network™ will communicate its final decision.
10. Privacy & Confidentiality
Participants must respect the privacy of other members and the confidentiality of information shared within ECS Network™. Unauthorized disclosure of private information, staff discussions, internal documents, or sensitive competition material is prohibited.
11. Rule Updates
ECS Network™ may update these Rules & Code of Conduct as the organization, its competitions, or its platforms evolve. The latest version is always published through official ECS channels, and continued participation constitutes acceptance of the current version.
12. Compliance with Platform Policies
All participants must also comply with:
- Discord Terms of Service and Community Guidelines
- The rules of each supported game title
- Applicable local laws and regulations
Where conflicts exist, ECS Network™ may apply additional competition-specific rules to preserve competitive integrity.
