The ECS Free Fire League is set to return on October 21, with the final phase of Series 1 kicking off and the championship title on the line. With a N350,000 prize pool, more than 60 teams and over 400 players, the last phase promises high stakes and intense competition.
The ECS Free Fire League is entering the final phase of its inaugural series, with the Series 1 champions set to be determined when competition resumes on October 21.
The third phase will bring together more than 60 teams and over 400 players, with ₦350,000 reserved for the winners. Registration is currently open ahead of the October 18 deadline.
Unlike a standalone tournament, ECS has structured its Free Fire competition across three phases, with results from each phase contributing to the overall Series 1 standings. The final rankings will determine the league’s champions while also setting the stage for promotion and relegation ahead of the next series.
The first two phases have already produced different winners across the divisions. Paradox Gaming won Division 1 in Phase 1 before Necro Venom took the division in Phase 2. In Division 2, Build Test Play claimed the opening phase, followed by Noobz Esports in Phase 2. The Saintz and Synchron X have similarly shared the Division 3 victories across the first two phases.
That leaves the final phase with more than just another tournament title at stake. Teams now have the opportunity to change their overall position in the Series 1 standings, with the final results influencing where organisations begin the next stage of the ECS league system.
The league’s divisional format is part of a broader approach ECS has adopted across its competitive ecosystem. Rather than relying solely on individual tournaments, the organisation maintains team rankings, player statistics and historical records throughout its competitions. The structure is designed to give teams a competitive identity that extends beyond a single event.
Phase 3 will also lead into the next stage of the league system, with promotion and relegation, playoffs and end-of-series awards expected to follow before the beginning of Series 2.
For teams currently sitting at the top of their divisions, the final phase represents an opportunity to protect their position. For those chasing the leaders, it is the last chance to close the gap before the Series 1 standings are locked.
Registration for Phase 3 closes on October 18, with the competition scheduled to begin on October 21, 2026.
With three phases of competition now coming down to one final stage, the ECS Free Fire League is approaching the point where the season’s strongest teams will finally be separated from the rest.
The Series 1 title is now within reach.
